Zablon Kuria currently serves as Executive Director & Founder of R.O.C.K. Bridge Ministries, Inc. (Reach Out through Communities in Kenya).
Following a successful business career with British American Insurance Company in Kenya, Zablon attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Altanta, Georgia. He graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Biblical Education, with a major in Biblical Leadership and Administration. Shortly thereafter, he was commissioned by Roswell Presbyterian Church in Georgia to return to Kenya in a missionary role. It was there that he launched his new ministry known as R.O.C.K. Bridge Ministries, Inc.
Zablon feels that the primary calling of his ministry work is to “build a bridge” between church communities in Kenya and those in the US. His vision for these partnerships is that they can work together to bring about positive change for Kenyan communities in need, providing improved health care, education and services for orphaned children.
Already, the fruits of these efforts have taken root and produced tremendous results. Over the past five years, in partnership with Roswell Presbyterian Church and with the contributions of several other US congregations, Zablon’s home church of PCEA Nakuru West has been able to create and/or improve services to the community in the areas of its general health care, women’s health, the school and training center, the Street Families Rescue Mission, and the Tumaini Children’s home.
Zablon looks forward to continuing this work, and having the opportunity to partner with even more US church congregations and other organizations to help meet the needs of the underserved in Kenya.
