Linda Clark is a volunteer for Leadership Corps serving as the first mentor during the initial pilot project initiated in 2011. Intrigued by the concept and the opportunity to utilize her experience and expertise by partnering with a healthcare executive in a developing country, Linda committed her time and talent to this opportunity to launch Leadership Corps. After spending 8 weeks in Catacamas, Honduras with the Executive Director and her management team, Linda is currently continuing to meet with her mentee to coach and support as part of her partner’s professional development, utilizing email and Skype.
Linda is a senior Healthcare Executive with extensive background in the management of complex hospital and healthcare systems in diverse settings – community, government, academic centers both in the US and international settings. Starting her career in Atlanta, Georgia with Piedmont Health she has worked with large community based healthcare systems such as Novant Health, Charlotte, North Carolina, and WellStar, Marietta, Georgia, in progressively challenging operational roles.
Having a passion for international travel, Linda was able to combine her professional and personal goals, by serving as Chief Operating Officer in two different healthcare systems in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates – initially with the UAE Military system and then with the Cleveland Clinic in managing the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. The opportunity to work with an incredibly diverse community and workforce, she was able to successfully lead these organizations through significant operational changes.
Linda holds a Master’s in Business Administration as well as a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia and received her Bachelor’s degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
